Finally is Perfect Creature out on Region 1 for all you who lives in USA and Canada. I have the Region 2 DVD and I will make captures and clips shortly. If someone gets the Region 1 DVD and could tell me the differences between the versions, that would be great! You can purchase the DVD at Amazon.
Mini-Review:
“Perfect Creature” went straight to DVD in the US, but I think it certainly deserved better. At the very least I think it could have possibly obtained cult status if it was widely released. It certainly has a unique take on vampires. In this alternate world, vampires are revered scientists and benefactors rather than supernatural killers. The vampires of “Perfect Creature” form a priest-like upper-class that is unlike any portrayal of vampires I’ve ever see. Humans flock to them like the church. This is all set against a unique backdrop. This alternate world features zeppelins, steam cars, ’50s TV’s, and other mixtures of technology and architecture from various times.
Here’s a new interview with Saffron at the Cannes Film Festival this year when she promoted The Bank Job. She looks so great in the outfit and is cute as usual
I’m very excited about this new project, I can’t wait to see Saffron on a TV show! It will be a lot of Saffron in several episodes, hurray for that!
Everyone have their Boston Legal scorecards out? Good, because there are a few more changes to the fourth season line-up in addition to those already mentioned a few weeks ago. So, get those pencils ready.
If you recall from a few weeks ago cast members Constance Zimmer, Julie Bowen, Mark Valley and Rene Auberjonois were let go from the legal comedy-drama while John Larroquette was added to the cast. Now it turns out that Valley and Auberjonois will be returning for multiple episodes next season. Apparently Auberjonois’ character, Paul Lewiston, will still be a senior partner at Crane, Poole and Schmidt; however, Valley’s character, the very uninteresting Brad Chase (end editorial here), will go up against one of his former CS&P colleagues in court.
Also appearing in multiple episodes next season will be Saffron Burrows and Gail O’Grady. Burrows (Reign Over Me) will play a commercial litigator who once had a passionate affair with attorney Alan Shore (and, really, who hasn’t had a passionate affair with Alan). O’Grady, who appeared in several episodes last season, will reprise her role as Judge Gloria Weldon and continue her heated relationship with Alan (again, who hasn’t had a heated relationship with . . . oh, never mind).
Finally, add a new full-time cast member to the bottom of your roster. Taraji P. Henson (Hustle & Flow) will be joining the cast later in the season as a new corporate lawyer brought in by John Larroquette’s character, Carl Sack, to wrestle more political power from the firm. Hmm, looks like some corporate intrigue is coming down the pike for next season.
Saffron did a less famous tv movie called The Big One in 1995 and I was so suprised when I saw it online for sale. It’s a second hand VHS tape and I was so happy to get my hands on it. Unfortunly haven’t I had the chance to even watch it yet, because I don’t own a VHS player right now. But I scanned the cover for you all and it’s the only one available, plus a promotion still with Saffron. The film page has been updated as well, enjoy!
Lewis is an estate agent, with limited prospects, but big dreams. When he assumes the identity of a dead man, suddenly all his fantasises start coming true. This he can deal with, but not with a widow hell-bent on her dead husband’s insurance money or a gangster determined to settle an old score.
